Mailing Services
Ink-jet
Addressing
Our high quality ink-jet addressing system applies a sharp professional
looking address to your mail piece at speeds up to 40,000-pieces/
hour. Unlike some systems that apply addresses at a lower quality
giving it a "faded" look and making them barely legible,
our addresses are applied at letter quality (300dpi) making them
crisp, clear and easy to read. In addition to the address and
barcode, we can also ink-jet return addresses, graphics, text
messages, and indicia to your mail piece.
Tabbing
Tabs, sometimes known as wafer seals, are the little round stickers
used to hold mail pieces such as self-mailers and booklets closed.
In order to receive the postage discount for having an automation
compatible mail piece, some mail pieces must be tabbed to keep
them closed and prevent the postal services equipment from jamming.
The required number of tabs (either 1 or 2) and the location of
the tabs on the mail piece is dependant on the number of pages,
the weight (or thickness) of the paper, and the orientation of
the mail piece's fold side. At Mailing Solutions, our high- speed
in-line tabbing system can apply up to 6 tabs in one pass. We
use clear perforated tabs exclusively, virtually invisible and
perforated so they open without tearing your marketing material.

Inserting by machine:
When it comes to our inserting systems flexibility is the key
word. Our systems can handle numerous combinations of insert size
and quantity as well as a variety of envelope sizes. We also have
the ability to collate or "nest" the inserts (an example
of nesting is taking multiple pages of a letter, folding it as
one, and then inserting it as one multi-page letter into the envelope).
Listed below are some of the types of envelopes and inserts our
systems can handle.
Inserts:
Single Page Letters
Multi Page Letters (Nested or Collated)
Personalized Laser Letter
Flyers or Brochures
Newsletters
Cards (Reply or Announcement)
Reply Envelopes
Envelopes: (please make sure all envelopes open on the
long side, for automation compatibility)
#10
(4 1/8" x 9 ½" standard business)
#9 (3.875" x 9")
6" x 9"
9" x 12"
10 x 13
A8 (5 ½" x 8 1/8")
A7 (5 ½" x 7 ¼")
A6 (4 ¾" x 6 ½")
Monarch (3 7/8" x 7 ½")
Note:
Automated inserting requires the inserts and envelopes to meet
certain requirements. For example a standard sheet of paper that
is 8 ½ in wide fits easily into a #10 business envelope
that is 9½ in. wide. However, a #9 envelope is only 8 7/8
in. wide resulting in too tight of a fit for automated inserting.
If the mail piece does not meet the automated inserting requirements
it must be hand inserted resulting in additional labor charges.
As a general rule of thumb, the insert must be ½ inch shorter
than the envelope. If you have any questions on whether or not
you mail piece meets the requirements for automated inserting,
please give us a call.
Custom Inserting and kit building:
Mailing Solutions can handle any imaginable type of inserting,
kit assembly, box and tube mailings. We can assemble non-mailing
projects as well.
Folding
Whether it's a self-mailer or an insert, we can fold your mail
piece to give it the look you want. We can perform both half folds,
tri-folds; tri folds can be "letter" style or "Z"
style as well as right angle folding at speeds up to 30,000 pieces/hour.
As mentioned above in inserting, we can also collate or nest your
mail pieces prior to folding.
